NOT enough time

Okay so swimming suit season is fast approaching. I need to get a better routine to work out at the Y. Also need to put the boys into some summer fun time for them and mommy only time for me. I can't wait for my trip over the memorial day weekend to colorado. My husband's sister has been brave enough to offer to watch our two rambucious boys for two days while we get a second type honeymoon in a Colorado Mountain Cabin! My littlest Kolbster is really growing up and I am feeling a yearning for a little girl (thanks to my neighbors little one) , but enjoying some of my free time. Ya know being a mommy is a hard thing because you give up a little of yourself Wait Who am I kidding you pretty much commit to giving up your life for at least five years until school starts. LOVE IT, but resent it such a struggle!! I LOVE MY BOYS, but oh how nice it would be to have a little girl!! Maybe I should wait and just adopt later. NEWAYS praying for god to give me direction he wants me to go in my life and thinking it might have something to do with postpartum depression just trying to think what exactly I can do to help others.

Realizing the mother in law importance and other tidbits

Okay so I went to my MAPS group at westlink christain church yesterday and our speaker talked about relationships with mother in laws. I have a pretty good relationship with my mother in law. Our speaker read a poem about what the mother goes through on the wedding day of her son. Since I have two sons it touched my heart. I am working on getting it from the speaker and will post it soon.
I also went to a chili cookoff with my mothers and more group and am going to try a new website called don't forget the milk to help keep my household chores underwraps.

My son is obessessed

Okay you all should get a laugh about this. You know how most normal kids love to watch disney movies. Well my oldest boy, hunter, would rather watch his daddies hunting movies he bought. He also drags around his favorite christmas present which is an acutal hunting bag. He sticks socks, snacks, canteen, headlight, and binoculars in it. For the finishing touch, he also carries his toy shot gun around. Everything he eats he asks if daddy shot. I am not sure what to think about this other than I told my husband that I am going to have to have his love interest read a disclaimer before marrying him. I think it is my duty to warn her what she is getting into especially since he is so obssessed already and hasn't shot a real gun yet. YIKES!

On another note.
I went to Anita Renfroe last Friday night with my mother in law. If she comes to your town you must go. She is such a hoot! Who knew that comedy could be funny without cuss words. She is doing a pilot for ABC for a faith based family show that is with white people it would be the first of its kind. Please keep her in your prayers. As a bonus her son Austin Kyle sang a couple of his songs for us. Go listen to some on myspace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=197812275 they bring back that wholesome feeling also no cusswords and really uplifting not sad or violent. Have an awesome day.

step into the unknown

So I have decided this might be a better use of my time instead of facebook. I try to have something I do for myself that lets me get away when my littlest boy takes a nap. I am not an enlish major by any means so misspellings and runons will be present in this blog. I want to let other wives know they are not alone when it comes to putting up with a hunter. So far this year my husband has been hunting numerous times for geese. We actually spent New Years Eve at his parents cabin in Toronto, Kansas so he could get a deer. In February, he went on a hog hunt paid for by his work and then next weekend will be gone again to go hog hunting with friends. My mother in law had some good wisdom though about why it is good to marry a hunter. She said, " You know their hunting buddies and you know they are out hunting because they bring their prizes back. You don't have to worry that they are going out at night with their buddies galavanting in bars." So that will be my very first blog post. Hope that wisdom reaches and gets some hunting wives thanking god they married a hunter.
